TCV webinar or workshop:
I offer a practical, evidence-based 90-minute webinar or in-person workshop for faculty new to the new, narrative-style Tri-Agency CV, which is replacing the Canadian Common CV (CCV) across CIHR, NSERC, and SSHRC funding programs. This session will show researchers how to move beyond simply listing their outputs and toward articulating the outcomes and impacts of their work — the changes, benefits, and evidence of influence that make a narrative CV compelling to peer reviewers. Drawing on original interviews with over 150 Tri-Agency reviewers, I walk researchers through how to write each required section of the CV: Personal Statement, Most Significant Contributions & Experiences, and Supervision & Mentorship. The webinar covers common sticking points for researchers and provides substantial resources: my six English- and six French-language narrative CV templates, annotated example contributions targeted to each of the Tri-Agency funders, and links to a curated set of relevant resources.
The webinar version of this presentation is capped at 90 minutes. For an in-person workshop, I offer three options: a 90-minute presentation; a half-day presentation + workshop, drawing on sample Most Significant Contributions from researchers at your institution; or a full- or multi-day workshop tailored to your institution and needs.
TCV writing:
I offer TCV writing as a service, drawing on my experience editing these materials for researchers across disciplines, teaching about the TCV, and interviewing peer reviewers as well as staff at funding agencies outside of Canada that have been using the narrative CV format much longer than we have. My TCV writing uses my own Tri-Agency CV template as the base; from that, I build from materials that you send to me and my own research about your publications to draft your TCV. This service is available in English only.
The TCV that I draft for you may be shorter or longer than the five-page maximum for a Tri-Agency CV. My preference is to prepare a too-long TCV in the expectation that it will serve as a base, template CV, and that you will tailor that template, trimming any parts that aren’t relevant for the project or proposal that you’re submitting to Tri-Agency for funding. In addition, you may need to revise the draft that I prepare for you, to make it appropriate to your discipline, or to fill in any gaps that I couldn’t draft based on the materials I could access.

Pricing:
My 90-minute TCV webinar costs $675 + tax if not recorded or $1800 + tax if recorded. Any number of participants are welcome to attend.
My in-person TCV workshop costs my travel expenses from Montréal plus $1800 + tax for the 90-minute version; $3000 + tax for the half-day version; or $5000 + tax per day for the full- or multi-day version. All webinars and workshops come with my six templates, exclusive sample Most Significant Contributions, and my curated set of researcher resources.
I offer TCV writing at a flat rate of $1200 + tax per CV. I can usually prepare a draft TCV within ten business days of receiving your materials.
